Sketch Study in Station Hall

 

It was an interesting journey that came while joining  an interesting community held by Indonesian Sketcher. Lot's of old friends join this community, especially from STDI,  2011, I remember it was really interesting  to discover that time is really absurd because I do feel it was created yesterday with those nice people. But time goes by and I discover 3 years was passing by.

I made some sketches containing a melancholic blues jazzy sequential page remembering the journey back from Semarang Tawang Station a week before. A Keroncong band was played and set back that time and really attach into my mind.

 

So in that time, I found interesting structures are still exist in that train. Well, create in live mode doesn't need 30 minutes, it needs only 5 minutes to capture every detail really fast, so I create really necessary detailed 1st after I pointed 3 main spot that will guide my eyes to vanishing point.

To bad, I could not capture some side since one old vex person making un- substantial conversation and destroy every memory that I record inside my brain. LOL!

After that, I prefer to create something else that are more interesting, seeing people passing by and create their works and stuff which they brought to their destination. Some bring simple, some bring really A lot like they are trying to expand (maybe they do). Some are so lazy to bring small bag and hire a man to bring that small case. Some fashion declaration are made by many people too. (punk, tourist, office worker, mysterious people, traditional people, and so on)
And created in 10 seconds only per person. Geez, hahaha

I don't remember from where this images inspired, created in 2002, while I was interested in fine art field especially searching on european illustration and watching Riddick animation movie. So I try using ballpoint for this bald with futuristic glasses, and what funny is, google create that glasses in 2013. And the medieval warrior was created using mechanic pencil 0, 05,
I don't really like the 3rd one since it don't have enough elements,but anyway, enjoy this work.

These are my practices for creating flying objects. Scott Robertson is a concept artist that really inspired me at that time, and I was really inspired with my old toys and motorcycle. 
 So at 1st, I try to practice using one of Scott sample.
and then try using different approach using old Honda and Kawasaki touring mode, I don't remember that type. I forgot.

Another Practice using Scott Robertson style, somehow I don't really like those. The root are simply not fit, but my insting floats around and create those roots.
